9X9 is a monthly event that takes place in the theatre of the COC building, Rozenstraat 14 in Amsterdam. The event begins at 21.00, showtime 22.30 and ends around 03.00.

Organized by Concerto Paradis, 9X9 aims to provide a platform for well known and unknown talent. A variety of high-quality acts entertain and inspire an audience, both young and old, open to new and surprising experiences. To make the evenings accessible to all, the entrance price is only €10, (excluding booking fee) part of which is donated to 'Stop Aids Now!'.

After the acts have finished performing, at around 23.00, there is a NON-STOP DANCE PARTY hosted by an international guest DJ.

Although the event takes place in a venue belonging to a gay organization, it is not a specifically gay evening. Everybody is welcome!

Each evening begins with 9 fabulous variety acts, the 'refreshing house' DJ Rico (St. Petersburg), hostesses and a surprise talent show. The winners of the eight qualifying rounds are put forward into the final competition, which will take place in November 2010. The whole 9X9 team aims to provide 9 unforgettable evenings.

The 9 Streets are situated in between the Raadhuisstraat and the Leidsegracht in Amsterdam.

All nine streets cross two of the four large canals: Singel, Herengracht, Keizersgracht and Prinsengracht.

As each evening puts a different street in the spotlight, the entrepreneurs from that street have the chance to promote their businesses.

Businesses that have not yet been approached by our PR department can contact us by email, suggesting, for example, an amusing feature of their store, or asking to be mentioned as sponsors on the flyers that are being spread throughout Amsterdam.

Be creative and direct with your proposals! We are happy to make space for your logo or banner on this website or on the flyers.

Auditions for the talent show continue until the end of 2010. We invite everybody to come and take part.

It does not matter if you are a beginner or an experienced artist – we appreciate every performance. We may have one of our professionals accompany you to provide the "finishing touch".

In addition, we gladly consider people for opportunities within our organization, because we are seeking to expand on our existing projects.

Each evening there are three acts judged by an expert jury, and one of these goes through to the final, held in November 2010.

From the winners one will be chosen and given a place in a prominent (inter) national production.
